Hello, I want to introduce my self. My name is Jonathan. I will discuss in
this first part, about the context related to recruitment and selection
strategy. The role of the title is a lecturer in Management – Business
Faculty and employment type is full time.I want to explain briefly about
Indonesian higher education, Indonesia had more than 2,000
universities, it includes public and private. President University is a
growing private university that offers 14 different majors, 5,000 students
enrolled from Indonesia and many countries and had 245 lectures. It is
located on Java island, Bekasi, it is about 30 km away from Jakarta, the
capital city of Indonesia.The business objectives for the recruitment and
selection strategy of lecturer are; first, there is an increase in students
intake, especially in business faculty and to cope with this condition, the
additional teaching staff is required. Besides that, as an international
standard university and President University keeps improving their
quality of teaching staff through recruiting qualified lecturer.

Labour Market Characteristics:
•Lack of qualified people in terms of doctoral or master degree
qualification in the Bekasi area
•Unemployment rate is relatively high
•President University require a qualified person with a strong educational
background and had experience in teaching
Target Candidate Groups:
Targeted candidate from Jakarta and Bandung area that had a better
workforce also the close location between Bekasi and these two areas

increased if there is another expenses occur during this

➢ In conclusion, the investment from both parties;
organization and the applicants are benefiting each
other because organization tend to be used internal
approach as their effective strategy to get the best
candidate and for the applicant side is they do need to
spend many resources in terms of time and money during
this process.
