For CJ200, all students will complete an essay (term paper) which will reflect your effort to fully research a specific theory and apply the theory to your current or proposed occupation in the criminal justice field. The paper will be 5-7 pages (1,250 – 1,750 words), contain at least four (4) peer-reviewed academic sources, and will be written in APA format:

2. Determine one or two major criminological theories that you (or others) can apply in your occupation. This must include a complete definition and explanation of the theory (history, background, definitions, concepts, applications).

3. Apply your selected theory to your current or projected/selected criminal justice (or related) occupation(s).
