For your first Illustrator assignment, you will be drawing lines and shapes using Illustrator
tools and techniques we have learned in class including:
• Pen
• Rotate
• Scale
• Pathfinder
• Align
• Fill and stroke
To complete the in-class assignment:
• Open the Illustrator file: AI Icons W2020.ai
• On the layers panel, make sure the ‘Lines’ layer is shown
• Create a new layer on the top of the ‘Lines’ layer
• Use the tools to draw lines and shapes and apply fill and stroke
• Complete the drawings based on the Logos and Icons layers
• Make sure you save the file regularly so if there is a problem, you will not lose
all your work.
• Continue working to complete all the layers: Lines, Logos and Icons layers
To submit the assignment:
• Save your file as AI and upload your final work to Slate
o Your file name should have your first and last name in it.
