Mayo Clinic
Much like the Centers for Disease Control, the Mayo Clinic offers a website packed with information and case studies about Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Data has been collected and revised through years of research, and surveys from and studies of individuals with ADHD. Schools, parents, teachers, and doctors constantly seek strategies, hopeful anecdotes, and up-to-date research on how best to work with and raise children who are diagnosed with ADHD or suspect an issue with ADHD. The Mayo Clinic is a credible resource: it provides in depth detail about the disorder, along with images and videos to support and highlight their claims, theories, and research.
The Mayo Clinic’s website jumps directly into informing the audience about causes, symptoms, and possible treatments for ADHD. Evidence and findings on the Mayo Clinic’s website are laden with objective viewpoints, current data, and credibility. Unbiased and nondiscriminatory information and findings are coupled with empathy throughout the webpage right alongside shared emotional thoughts. The Mayo Clinic frequently updates their website with new information for its diverse, intended audiences. Taking a third-person approach to delivering information, the Mayo Clinic guarantees there is no biased or offensive information publicized. This is a remarkable website with an abundance of information.
I would recommend the Mayo Clinic add more pictures to their website. If they did this, the Mayo Clinic could me comparable to the CDC.

I chose this assignment to evaluate for my essay. It is quite fasinating of a pick for a numerous of reasons. For one, the website well defines their objectives throughout the website. Vyvanse ADHD website shares, “Want info about Vyvanse for ADHD in children” (2019). This clearly defines and outlines their purpose in writing about ADHD. They use the website to sell their product which is a drug that treats ADHD; not only that, but they are open and clear about that. Although, this can open the door for potential biases and information that was omitted because of this bias. The website is about ADHD, listing its symptoms and facts, briefly summing up all the information in a nice small six paragraph bulelt format. This was clearly meets accuracy criteria as well, because it pertains to clear and well defined details. They claim all the information is owned by them, and that they are regulated by government law. This extra information educates us that their information is taken with great care and seriously. One last thing it meets by criteria, is currency. Currency is defined as up to date information, or information that is not outdated. For an example, if a source was listed from 2009 but never was updated, then that is considered outdated. In this case, Vyvanse does have some outdated material. This is because one of their surveys was taken all the way back in 2011. However, it’s overall information is relevant and up to date because when compared to other websites, you can find the awful similarities and truth behind it. They worked to get the important details out and did not omit any info.
Overall, I believe this website meets the criteria fairly well. The objectives, again, were clear and not misleading. They wanted to sell their product, Vyvanse which is a drug to treat ADHD. Nothing about that was hidden. As a website that informs about this specific drug, this use of bias was ok and acceptable. The information was mostly accurate, precise, credible, and current. This in turn, made it effective and good.

Why
is correct APA citation important?
What is the difference?
- Somewhere the Bible says that Jesus is the only way to the Father.
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
They say the same thing, don’t they? No, they don’t. One gives a vague possibility which I might doubt. The second gives a confident correct quote from Jesus with citation so that I can check it out. When we are sloppy with biblical citation, we are less believable. Is the same true of citations in our research essays? How so?
