ICT203 HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION
Group Assessment Project Plan
ILLUSION INSTITUTION
For this project we’ve decided to design a website for an educational institute. The website will allow students and educators to access their respective accounts which will be provided for them by the institute. User accounts will be similar except for special functions only available to educators in order to manage content visible to the students.
The website’s purpose is to deliver educational content and useful information regarding what the institute offers and its background information with a direct approach to limit time spent on finding information and content needed by both educators and students. The website will also offer vital information for those who are looking to consider in attending the institute.
Design Plan
Since the website is targeted towards education providers and learners, it is important to have information that is useful to be readily accessible to users. For our design plan we’ve decided to section each important information into subsections for easier navigation and better accessibility. Some limitations users may encounter is the difference in format of the desktop site when being accessed on a smaller device such as a smartphone or an iPad. It is also possible that some functions may not work the same if accessed on a hand-held device compared to accessing it on a desktop.
Project scope (F M SHUVO RAJ, 11901313)
In this section requirements are given in technological perspective, like site must run on apace ii or greater and open source should be possessed. There is also requirement for scalability and responsiveness from the site. Future integration should be considered as well like new modules should be introduced. Database with backup and restore system can be promising option as well for future integration.

Project scheduling (F M SHUVO RAJ, 11901313)
This project can be designed in such a way it can be complete in 6months after commencement. The work schedule needs to be broken down n for sequential phases namely starting, organizing and preparing, carrying out and finishing with the traditional project management sense. However, to make this project successful there is need of planning and controlling. For this kind of project Agile SCRUM as the project management methodology and for software development we will use waterfall method.
Success criteria for scheduling (F M SHUVO RAJ, 11901313)
- Project should be completed in time.
- Assigned work should be finished on time by the employee.
- Project planned should be followed on point so that there would be no irregular time or float.
- Milestones should be completed after each phase
Risk management (F M SHUVO RAJ, 11901313)
Risk comes with every project as for this project as well this cannot be completed without it. This project is about an education website. We have to make this website from scratch so time limit of 6 months can be a challenge. There is also a problem that the project website is going to be user friendly or not. The time limit for each task for this website is mapped and assigned to each employee, it will be a problem if the employees can not deliver in time. We must think about future aspect as well the project fails. In this case the project needs to be insured as well.
