an annotated copy and a breakdown of the structure

After carefully reading Robert Orsi’s chapter SNAKES ALIVE: RELIGIOUS STUDIES BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH (pdf available under the Resources tab on Sakai), please answer the following questions. Please note, I have uploaded a “clean” copy of the chapter as well as an annotated copy and a breakdown of the structure (all on Sakai) to aid your reading. 1. What is the main conclusion to which the author comes at the end of the piece? 2. Identify four individual claims made in the piece and give one piece of evidence that is cited to support each claim. these are some feedback that I got from my professor for the previous paper: In terms of the first prompt, overall, well done. You were able to utilize the narratives to support your claims about human nature and examples of sin. You thoroughly quoted the texts and wove in common themes that linked all three discussed works. Additionally, I appreciated your discussion of loneliness/vulnerability as an added weight on humanity. If I had to make one suggestion it would be that you could have given a more explicit definition of sin itself as presented in the texts rather than examples of an unarticulated presupposition. For the second essay, your choice of marginal characters was unique and refreshing. The utilization of the sick man from John and Tumnus from LWW set up a nice parallel and really fueled your analysis of both texts. It would have been interesting to tie in the marginal characters into the idea of salvation in a way beyond objects of superior power.
