reservoir and the water network according to these demands according to the design criteria provided and
select a centrifugal pump to meet the total demand. Determine the diameter of the pipes whose lengths are
given. Select a suitable selection from the pump catalogs by determining the manometric head, flow rate(Q)
and power of the pump. Determine the maximum suckage heght required for the pump to operate without
causing cavitation.
DESIGN CRITERIA:
1- The dam lake on the lower side is used as water source.
2- A valve will be placed at the beginning and end sections of each pipe piece. (In
case of maintenance or water leakage from the pipe in order to isolate this pipe from
the system).
3- The pipe material will be cast iron and the diameter will be selected from the
standard diameters below.
