Part 1: Make a synoptic table of Resurrexi that compares the notation of the Dijon Tonary, Benevento, Biblioteca capitolare MS 34, and Laon 239. A blank synoptic table is attached. In the bottom line of the table indicate and briefly note all differences of pitch and/or neumation between the three sources. Part 2: Create a a modern performing edition of Resurrexi that combines the rich rhythmic and expressive details of the Laon manuscript with a pitch reconstruction based on Dijon and Benevento. You will need to decide how to present this edition so that it is accessible to a modern performer and reproduces all of the performing indications of the original. Be imaginative, but be sure to base your pitch reconstruction on Dijon and Benevento, account for the difference between the two sources and be sure to capture the details of rhythm indicated in Laon.
