We selected the company to be about Etihad Airways and needs to describe the situation in this company according to several decisions faced the decision maker in his/her daily life. The project should include the following contents:
- Company description, Mission, Vision Goals
- SWOT Analysis
- Write Problem Statement: the problem is to Reduce costs because of the Losses it faced through the pandemic because of the travel restrictions that are still in place in several countries.
- Criteria: 1- Quality , 2- Sustainability , 3- Revenue and wight each criteria
- Use SIMON approach of decision making to discuss about the alternatives and decide accordingly.
- Three decisions to be discussed as following
- Alternative One: Retrenchment process : Etihad Airways reduces employees’ salary till September
- Alternative Two: Laid off: Temporarily separation (six months) for long-serving employees, pilots and employees not in operational positions
- Alternative Three: Termination: 80% of Cabin Crew termination
- Discuss between alternatives using WHAT-IF scenario
- Decision Matrix using a table to provide the alternatives with each score in the decision variables (10 is high 1 is low)
- Please include How decisions are supported referring to below figure :
- Closed loop process to optimize business performance to be included.
- Survey
- Balanced scorecard.
