The assignment:
The assignment involves solving the Defective Chessboard Problem by using 3 different approaches. The three Defective Chessboard Problem algorithms must be based on techniques that you had learn from this class, in which one of the three techniques must be the “Divide & Conquer. technique. You need to test each algorithm on a board of size 2°x2. where 2’En15.
The goal of the assignment is: 1) To use algorithm techniques in solving problem. 2) To determine the running time of each algorithm as a function of n, as n grows.
Deliverables:
1) The source code of your algorithms (either in Python of C). 2) Report that consists of: a. Explanation on i. the choice of algorithm techniques used ii. the source code iii. the solution to the Defective Chessboard Problem b. The plot of running the three algorithms (time vs of Suggested readings and referencs.
