This is an individual assignment based on a critical analysis of a real organisational issue and includes a presentation of findings. To complete this assignment you must choose one of the case studies from the choice provided.
Part A: Developing a strategy for leading in an entrepreneurial context.
Task 1
Write a short report based on your choice of ONE of the THREE employer case studies. Your report must include:
a)A critical and strategic analysis of the challenges/issues facing the organization using ONE or more appropriate tool/s for this analysis.
b)A critical evaluation of the leadership model/s and communication strategies of the organization and its impact on employee and organizational culture and performance.
c)THREE recommendations with justification, for enabling and improving the organization’s performance. (1,500 words, 40% of marks)
Task 2
Create a 10 minute presentation (10 slides and supporting notes) OR a 10 minute podcast (with supporting notes) focused on starting and managing an entrepreneurial venture. The presentation OR the podcast must include the following:
a)A critical appraisal of the phases in entrepreneurial practice from ideation to delivery.
b)A critical analysis of the strategies for addressing or managing risk within the entrepreneurial business venture.
c)A critical appraisal of the entrepreneurial traits and characteristics for strategic positioning of the business
venture. (1,500 words, 40% of marks)
It is expected that appropriate models, academic sources and good practice theory will be applied and be academically rigorous to support your work.
Part B: Personal and Professional Account
Task 3
Write a reflective personal and professional account
Create a journal entry reflecting on any one of the professional areas from the CMI Code of Conduct and Practice, www.managers.org.uk/code ensuring you also elaborate further on how you would apply it to your own current or future professional career.
(500 words, 10% of marks)
Overall presentation and application (applies to both parts A and B)
Ability to communicate arguments in a clear and appropriate structure and professional writing style with
appropriate sources accurately referenced and listed. (10% of marks)
