Written Report (Assignment – Chapter 9 & 10)
The written report for Chapters 9 and 10 consists of the following components:
- Introduction
- Discussion of issues/problems faced by the selected country (choose only one country: Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, India, or Pakistan)
- Discussion of public policies and methods to overcome inflation and unemployment in the selected country
- Suggestions/Recommendations
The written report is expected to be between 15-20 pages in length and is worth a total of 30 marks. The implementation of this assessment will take place in Week 7 (18/1/2024).
Written Report Marking Breakdown
The breakdown of marks for the written report is as follows:
- Introduction: 5 marks
- Discuss macroeconomic issues/problems faced by the selected country and the impact on the economy and society: 10 marks
- Discuss public policies used by the selected country to overcome macroeconomic issues/problems (inflation and unemployment): 10 marks
- Suggestions/Recommendations: 5 marks
Presentation
The presentation will involve presenting the past semester questions, Part B: 2 Questions, and is scheduled for Week 7 (18/1/2024). The presentation will last 10-15 minutes and will be worth a total of 50 marks.
The presentation will be assessed on the following:
- Proactive/effective delivery of ideas
- Content
- Independence
- Work responsibility

The marking breakdown for the presentation is as follows:

- Content: 20 marks
