Paper guidelines:

• Use 12 point. Times New Roman font
• 1 inch margins on every page

• Be sure to cite your references within the text of your paper. If you don’t do this, you will be plagiarizing and will be penalized accordingly. http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/557/02/
• &νβσπ;Direct quotes should not be used.In scientific writing, direct quotes are rarely ever used. That being said, if you use information from a source that is not common knowledge, you still need to cite it as you would a direct quote.
• The grammar and spelling of your paper will be graded by an English professor, so the quality of writing does count!

You will turn in a rough draft and I will grade it according to the rubric on the last page of this packet. Use the rubric as a guide while you are writing your paper. The Rough Draft is NOT Optional.
