Papers are to be at least 5 FULL pages in length MINIMUM (not counting cover page and references)
Be sure to adhere to the following basics of APA formatting:
1″ page margins, double spacing, Times NR 12pt font, title and page numbers in header
Papers must have an Introduction section and a conclusion section.
Papers must have a minimum of 4 ethical theory subheadings such as: Moral Universalism, Divine Command, Utilitarianism, Consequentialism, Kantian Ethics, Social Contract Theory, Natural Law, Virtue Ethics, Feminist/Care Ethics, Ethical Egoism, Moral Nihilism, Ethical Relativism, etc…
All papers must be grammatically correct and all spelling must be correct.
All papers need to be in APA Format- a cover page, references and citings from the case/video clips, texts, powerpoints, and other references throughout the paper. Writing is expected to include critical thinking about how ethical theory and information from your references relate to each assignment topic.
Papers must include ethical theory from your texts (any chapters) and Class lectures in order to receive points.
When inserting the page number, use the “Insert at current position” option with your cursor in the top right corner of the header
Header should match font in rest of paper and title should be in all caps
First level heading = Bold and centered
Each of your 4 chosen ethical theories will be a First level heading (Bold and centered)
In text citations:
General paraphrase = (Author’s last name, year)
Direct quote using ” ” = (Author’s last name, year, p.)
For End Citations/Reference page:
Citations should be listed in alphabetical order by author last name (A à Z)
Reference page does not use bullets or alpha/numbered lists
Citations need to include hanging indentation for all lines after first line
Citations DO NOT use all caps, bold, underline font or quotation marks – just italics where appropriate.
Don’t forget to cite multiple works from same author (like multiple class lectures) as (Author, yeara) = (Farias, 2017a)
