Write this report for an audience of reasonably technical people, but people who are not developers and don’t know how to code. This means, for example, if you reference a new line character, you should explain what it is. But you don’t need to explain what a script is or what the command line is. This assignment is meant to give you experience investigating something technical and new, and preparing a short explanation on its technical history and how that has adapted to current use. While knowing facts about these specific control characters isn’t crucial, having the experience of researching and synthesizing new technical information will be important.
We will be checking for plagiarism. So remember: don’t copy/paste anything from wikipedia, use footnotes or other citation schemas to cite your sources. Try to cite sources other than wikipedia, but you can use wikipedia if needed.
Have at least 3 sources you used for reference, one of which can be wikipedia. There are plenty of standards organizations out there that will talk about these characters, look for those if you are having trouble finding non-wikipedia entries
