Assessment Strategy
The assessment strategy for ‘Business Excellence’ has two key components: The ‘on-going Individual project 2 (week 16) • This is the final element of your course assessment and accounts for 40% of your final mark. The final assessment includes a 15-minute presentation (15%) as well as individual written report (25%).
• Each of you need to choose a company in UAE which undertakes the BE model. You are required to share it with your peers in the class. Your presentation may be done before week 15. You need to notify me 2 weeks before in this regard.
On the other hand, the project (1500 words) should be submitted in week 15.

The structure of your report should be as follows: (project 2)
• Cover page (logo of the university, title and code of the course, title of your report, your name, student number, date of submission, word count)
• Content page
• Summary (which provides a brief summary within 100 words to help the reader understand the key points in the project)
• Introduction (which includes the significance of your topic and problems/situations raised)
• Background of the organization (it should be a brief, overall description.)
• Literature review (which provides theories linking with the case study)
• Data collection (e.g. observation, interview, secondary data, etc)
• Discussion and conclusion (you are expected to reflect on the key findings and more importantly your own learning from the project and provide evidence that you have achieved the learning outcomes of the course)
• Recommendations (provide some suggestions to the management of the organization to improve the organizational efficiency and effectiveness)
• References (cite your references both in the main text and in the list of references – in accordance with the Harvard Referencing System).
• Appendices (any supporting material can be attached with the report)
Remember: to have your draft proofread for any typos/grammatical errors, and to use Font 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 line space and fully justified text. Please do not exceed the suggested word limit.
