The first short theological essay will be on one or more of the topics on Weeks 5 & 6 of reading materials.
Students will offer a clear summary and understanding of Ecclesiological topics using Scripture, Church Confessions, and Denominational polity (if necessary) to support the essay topic. Students should engage this on an exegetical level, interpretation of Scripture, and be able to clarify what they understand on their topic on Ecclesiology. In addition, each essay should end with a section that discusses how this topic can help you in future ministry.
This is a critical thinking exercise and is not just a summary of your reading. This should be 750 total words (Approximately 3 to 4 pages) and should include proper footnotes and bibliography, using Turabian style. Each essay should include a cover page, introduction to the particular topic, the body, and a sufficient bibliography. (Please see the €Course Resourceѕ section on Blackboard to download the documents on formatting footnotes and bibliographies).
It is important to read as much as possible to obtain an above average level of comprehension of this course material.
