– FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK
Read ‘Four -day
working week and six-hour shifts set to be introduced in Finland’
Select
an organisation or industry with which you are familiar (it may be
one you do or have previously worked for). Research and write a
report in which you explore the feasibility of introducing a four-day
work week in that organisation/industry. In your report, consider the
impact – both positive and negative – of the introduction of a
four-day work week on HR Planning and Job Design within the chosen
organisation. Conclude your report with a well-argued recommendation,
based on supporting evidence, on the feasibility of introducing a
four-day work week in your chosen organisation/industry.
Undertake
research on the topic, aiming for a balanced range of research from
academic journal articles (AJAs) and popular media (such as podcasts,
websites, practitioner publications, etc). When using popular media
as a source in an academic assessment task, give consideration to the
integrity and rigour of the source. You
are required to use a minimum of ten references, of which at least
five should be AJAs.
Ensure
you read this ‘A1 topic book’ on Moodle before commencing this
assignment.
