The goal is to focus on writing. This is a time where you may be your most creative. This essay is not bound by the same rules your previous essays were. You must, of course, demonstrate knowledge of grammar and punctuation, but you may experiment with voice and tone. The following is a list of ideas you may choose to address. Not all questions must be answered, but you may choose to discuss a few of them. The idea is to create an essay with reflection on your own writing techniques, your growth during this semester and your knowledge of writing. Choose what relates to your own experiences.

Describe your own writing abilities in relationship to this course.
Has your attitude towards writing changed? How/why?
What have you discovered about your own process of writing? What about a process for writing in general?
How has your writing skills developed over this semester?
What can knowledge of writing do to further your education?
What are the steps you use to write? Why?
What does a workshop/peer review do for your writing? What about for the writing of others?
How do you define good writing? How do you evaluate this?
Have you learned to apply your knowledge of writing to situations outside of this composition course?
What do you plan to do to continue expanding your knowledge of writing?

Remember: You may discuss ideas, voice, style, content, the writing process, word choice, citations, structure, organization, arrangement, a rich use of detailed language and so on. You may address any aspect of writing that you wish. At some point in your essays you should discuss your own writing and writing in relation to this class.
