Web Application Description:
Sport clubs enrolment web application.
In todays busy world health has taken a back seat and we are becoming unhealthier largely due to the pressures of daily life such as school, work and so on. Living healthy has either taken a backseat at best or worse has disappeared in the background. This is not just bad for the individual but for the community as a whole as it put more strain on the medical infrastructure.
For the above stated reasons, I have decided to develop a health and sport website that caters to all individuals especially students. The website has two main users administrator who has the ability to add/edit fitness activity (mainly sports clubs) categories and general users will have the ability to join any activities that is in the catalogue. Upon selecting the desire activity category, you are taken to a page that details the description of the club and what that club offers along with an option to register for the club on the same page.
Additionally, the website will let you schedule activities offered by the clubs in a periodic base like daily or weekly so on. The user can also see their previous activities or class he has taken or completed and information about upcoming activities offered by the various clubs listed on the website.
Functional Requirement:
The functional requirements are explained as per MoSCoW method.
- Must(M)
- display all the club activities in a grid.
- Let users register for the clubs they choose to attend
- Description of the club activities along with the subscription amount.
- Should(S)
- Customers should be able to login using their existing login credentials and if it is a new user then they can sign up using a valid email address and a unique password
- Admin login page where only the administration has the access to all the data and should be able to add/edit club activities and categories
- Could(C)
- The webapp will allow administrator to look at the user database and have the ability to edit any information a user might request like change in billing address and subscription cancellation.
- The webapp could let the user to change clubs mid contract if he/she chooses to a join a different club with the same subscription fee
- Will not have(W)
- There wont be any online payment integration like mastercad or visa
- The user cannot delete their account but can only be deactivated
Non – Functional Requirements
- Product Requirement
- The webapp will be written in html and css, the database is designed in sql
- The webapp will work on firefox, chrome, and safari.
- The application in its entirety will not take up more than 150MB
- The application will update its features regularly
- External requirements
- The webapp will collect privacy information through cookies through customer consent
- The privacy information will not be passed to any third party vendors and it is only for the admin to improve the user services.
- It will adhere to all UK telecommunication rules and regulations.
- The data will be encrypted to provide an extra layer of security.
- Constraints
- The webapp will be hosted on csdm server provided by out university
- All the source code will be published on my student github account
- The website will have two login pages one for the admin and the other for general users.
- Admin can post and edit club activity catalogue along with relevant images.
