Each paper will be 5-6 pages, typed, double-spaced, in 12-point font with 1 margins, and should be formatted in proper MLA or APA style. Each research paper will include 4 outside sources. This means you will actually need to use the research in your paper, not simply list it on a works cited or bibliography page. . At least 3 sources must be from feminist or social scholars found in an academic source (a journal or scholarly book). You must have proper in-text citations and a works cited page in MLA or APA format. See the Purdue Online Writing Lab MLA or APA page for help citing sources. The writing center can also help with this. Research a female artist (painter, photographer, poet, singer, writer, sculptor, etc) and describe how her work is feminist. In what ways does it promote new ideas of what women are or what women can do or be? Include samples of the artists work in your presentation. Step #3: Complete the Research You should also check full text to return results that are full articles only. Remember you will need a total of 4 resources, and at least three must be from scholarly sources. Also make sure that you record all of the source information, including authors name, title of the article, title of the larger work, pages, editors, publisher, where it was published, website addresses, the date you looked at the material (online), etc. If you have a source without all of this information, you wont be able to use it in your paper unless you are able to find it again, so write everything down as you are doing your research. Step #4: Write the Paper The final paper will be 5-6 pages. Make sure to follow the guidelines given above very carefully. Read these directions The feminist painter I picked is Frida Kahlo.
