For this individual assessment, you are required to identify relevant strategies, formulate them and professionally present your recommendations (ALL AREAS OF LIFE INSURANCE ADVICE) you’re your client, relevant to insurance and risk management products and strategies in the given Statement of Advice (SOA) template. Your recommendations must be presented in a standard Scaled Statement of Advice documents. The format of the report must be in accordance with the ASIC requirements (source: www.asic.gov.au/Regulatory Guide 90 ) and an example will be provided to students by the teacher.
Written submissions with a maximum of 30 pages (minimum 2,000 and maximum 3,000 words) (plus maximum of a 5 page appendix & reference list) and professional presented. Assignments must be typed in a legible font at least 11 point in size, Ariel font with numbered pages, with at least a 2cm margin and double spacing.
Additional assessment case study information and requirements may need to be given to students by the teacher.
Key points in developing your report (Final SOA)
• The aim of this assessment is to provide advice which meets specific client goals • The most important part of this assessment is the strategy itself. What strategies have you considered, what have you recommended and why? How do they meet your client’s goals and what are the risks of implementing (or not implementing) the advice; and why these recommendations would place client in a ‘better position than currently? • Explanations should be clear and concise and in terms that your client will understand. Appropriate tone and style should be used for the client document.
