Instructions

Overview

Your team is a new start up, working in the Ag-Tech domain. You have been approached by a client to take on a new project. The client has provided your team with a video overview of the proposed project. Your task is to produce a technical report outlining your intended plan and solution for the project.

Client Video

The client has created an overview video to outline the project details. The client is a Precision Agriculture researcher, and the project is based on University-based research.

The project overview video will be made available through Echo360. It is titled: “Group Project – Client Overview”.

Groups

You can form your own group of three students from your Unit and advise the Unit Coordinator by Friday 29th March. Alternatively, groups will be formed during Week 5. If you have a group of 2 students, you will be assigned an additional team member in Week 5.

Each group will be given the name of an Australian animal and will have a private channel setup on the COSC310/510 Slack Workspace

Client Questions

Your team has 1 opportunity to ask questions of the client. All team members should view the Client Overview video, then prepare a list of questions aimed to solicit more detailed information from the client. Your questions should help you to define user requirements, project scope, and any technical details that were not made clear in the original Client Overview video.

Client Questions are due on Sunday the 19th of April (end of the first week of mid-Trimester break). Please submit your team’s questions via email to the Unit Coordinator (jbisho27@une.edu.au). Please include the name of your team in the email. The Client Questions are not a mandatory part of the assessment: your team does not have to submit any questions (but you are highly encouraged to do so). All questions will be collated and answered in 1 video (i.e. all team’s questions will be answered together). This video will be available through Echo360. It will be titled: “Group Project – Client Q&A”.
