You are an early childhood teacher who is meeting with his/her student’s parents to give an update on the child’s achievement. Your goal is to provide a report that articulates what writing/language abilities can be demonstrated through the student’s writing. You want to educate the parents on what they can do to support writing through language development. In writing, identify the phonemic, syntactic, morphemic writing abilities of the child. Be sure to include the samples used to support the report. Provide specific activities that the parents can implement at home to assist with any deficiencies the student is demonstrating. Your feedback should be specific and include phonemic, syntactic, morphemic abilities of the child. If no deficiencies are noted, provide suggestions that will further increase the child’s language and writing abilities. The activities should explain exactly how to implement each activity. Describe at least two daily activities that you will incorporate to support literacy for each area of writing ability. Parents should have an understanding of daily routines or activities and what they aim to do.
The program description should be 1500-1750 words and should include at least four (4) APA in-text citations. The sections should be clearly marked with headings so that your instructor knows which points you are addressing. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The title page and references page do not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.
